Google Search was originally developed by Larry Page and Sergey Brin in 1997. In part, Google Search’s search-results is based on a priority rank called a “PageRank” (named after Larry Page). Google Search can hunt for searched keywords found inside websites (in page title, in texts, in url). It can also search publicly accessible documents, as well as images, and to an extent, data queries.
Google Search also provides many options for customized search, using Boolean operators such as: exclusion (“-xx”), alternatives (“xx OR yy”), and wildcards (“x * x”).
